Ok, check the label, if it says Non chlorine bleach only, seperate those clothes. use a color safe bleach (it looks like detergent) this will keep the white looking white and the colors well colored. I seperate my clothes into whites (bleach) colors (color safe bleach and lighter colored clothes I don't want to get dingy) and darks ( jeans, dark red, blue shirts, etc.) I also wash towels seperatly. Too much info? Maybe but it works. Good Luck!!

Best bet is to read the label...but also turn your shirts inside out so that the color doesn't fade. My system is the label but also how much color is on them. Little color I bleach, a lot of color I do with colors that have been washed before and I usually leave out red shirts cause they can bleed...hope this helps

When you are bleaching the whites, leave the mixed colored shirts out of that load, but if you are just washing the whites, they can go in. Wash them alone the first time though, just in case they are going to bleed red or blue, so you know. It rarely happens these days.

Not stupid. You can put the in with the lights or a load all there own. Use one of those new washer sheets that catch color and that new Downey whitning softer and that should to the trick. Wash in Cold Water.

It's not stupid. I would just lump them in with the white clothes. Quite honestly, after you've been doing laundry for a while, you'll probably start throwing all sorts of things into one load and washing it in cold.

Alot of us do that all the time. Just watch out for brand new never been washed reds. They have a tendency to run.

It's okay to do it with whites. You should make it a habit of reading labels, sometimes they would help.
I used to have a lot of sweaters and I would take them to a drycleaner every couple of weeks for many years.
Then a friend told me that all these could be machine washed in cold water. Do you imagine how much money I spent in drycleaning?? Talking about Stupid.........I'm it.

If it's a white shirt with colored letting or just a small logo, it's safe to wash in bleach with your other white clothes. If it's white with a large colored design, it's advisable to wash it with your darks.

Well that is not a stupid question.
I use a separate load for all white and then one for white with color plus put in beige/cream with this load.

They usually go in with the whites. Check the label - sometimes it will say wash with whites.
