Black tar on a yellow shirt how do I remove it

Gasoline works on tar that is on solid items and may work on the shirt if it has not been dried in a dryer yet.
After dabbing the shirt with gas put some Shout or Spay n Wash on it and wash it.
Check the shirt before drying it, heat from the dryer will set the stain in. Repeat the process if needed. If the spot will not come out after 3 or 4 tries the shirt is a loss.
