After picking off most of it -I tried freezing the two t-shirts but the gum did not really freeze....I then tried grapeseed oil and it came off real easy. I imagine it would work with oily peanut butter as well. I then put dish washing liquid on the patch of oil and worked it into the fabric and machine washed both t-shirts in laundry detergent. They came up spotless. Thanks for all the advice. Couldn't edit my original question to let everyone know so hence this is an answer rather than a question.

It sounds complicated but wasn't. I hate it when reasonable clothes are ruined and I knew there was an answer somewhere. Applying oil removed all of the gum quickly and then to ensure i got the oil out I applied dish detergent and quickly rubbed it in. Into the machine with other clothes and all gone. I had many similar answers but it was the oil that did the job and inexpensively!

people who briefly answer questions simply to get two points....must be desparate. Its really pointless and not much of a score.

Next time you might want to dry Lighter fluid. Its in a small bottle and you can get it at Wal-Mart behind counter with cigs and cigars....Ask a cashier for it....Goo-Gone works also. Happy to hear you got the gum out.

You could have said the same thing by posting in the "Comments" section where you originally asked your question. The only thing is that you would have had to split up your message into smaller pieces cuz they only allow so much text in one "Comment".
