I'd like to get one for my balcony and keep it in a pot. But will it get as big as a tree? Or will it stay a good size for a large pot?

One of my sprinklers is damaged and it shoots water up like an errupting volcano. The water lands on my windows and as a result of that, they have got stained from the hard water -- I live in the desert and water sucks here, despite the fact that I do have a water softener. Does anyone know how I can remove these hard water stains? Thanks!

It starts to smell if I don't clean it out each day but I feel bad for wasting trash bags when I take it out only 1/4 full. Any tips to neutralize odors? I live in a small apartment and it becomes very apparent. I am not sure what the smell comes from - I just have the usual in the trash like fruit peels, packaging, etc.

I have a dewalt 3/8 drill. I noticed today that theres a dewalt 3/8 drill/driver at the local hardware store. When does a drill become a driver? My drill has a button marked 1and a 2 on a button on the top of the drill. You can increase the torque by turning a ring on the drill near the chuck.
Just interested to know if there's any real difference.
thanks

My daughter has put up a NATURAL christmas tree, which has had its roots sawn off. As we have always had an artificial one (Environmentally friendly?) If it had roots I would have watered it......what does one do with one without roots?

If you do water it, like a plant, I imagine, how much, and how often, is there anything one can do to keep the needles from dropping out before Christmas, I have visions of a skelital tree covered with decorations by Christmas day! HELP!!!

Alright so i just put a new bedspread and pillows and everything on my bed and decorated the walls and stuff so most of my room looks pretty good. The only thing killing the entire room is the carpeting.. it's yellow. Not a bright yellow, a gross mustard yellow. It doesn't go at allll with my furniture or bed and my parents are saying I can't do anything about it..

Is there anyway I can like. idk, cover it up or anything.. I know that makes no sense. Just like any ideas (serious answers only) of how to at least draw attention away from my disgusting carpet would help.. haha

My wife and I have 2 kids, and we were told that the health dept could get involved and tell the landlord he's liable and pay our moving expenses. Is this true, and if so, where do I start?

The hose sticks up from the floor and there is no pipe attached to it for the water to drain from the washer. I was told that I could not just attach the washer hose directly to this other hose, as it needs to go up first. I bought the house with this system already in place, but was told that it is a simple connection by a plumber, but he never came back to fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions? It is getting too cold and snowy to go to the laundromat and use their washers. Thanks

there seems to be some confusion to my earlier question of handy men help me,let me clarify, I have a zanussi nexus washing machine, it will not start because the machine does not recognise that the door is closed, the clip on the door is ok, it is the hole into which the door latch locks into on the main body of the machine itself that is causing the problem, how do i get to this bit please, I hope it is as simple as a loose wire but i need to know how to strip the machine to get to it thanks for your help)

My friend and his little boy were at my house one evening when the lights went out . We found out that I'm not ready for a blackout . We managed to put together an emergency light with a candle and an old jar . What do I need to get so I'll be ready the next time the lights go out ?

ie in comparison to domestic gas fires with a flu, that burn Natural Gas, which can be potentially fatal when toxic, but odourless, fumes escape?
Do fluless type gas fires eliminate the danger of CM fumes escaping?

*UK meaning of the word "gas" - not short for petroleum fuel

They'll be hanging just under the window not to the floor. Please choose either one (no one really cares how much anyone else loves a polka dotted velvet sash skewn over a curtain rod as a valance, but no offense). lol. Thank you.
