Alright so i just put a new bedspread and pillows and everything on my bed and decorated the walls and stuff so most of my room looks pretty good. The only thing killing the entire room is the carpeting.. it's yellow. Not a bright yellow, a gross mustard yellow. It doesn't go at allll with my furniture or bed and my parents are saying I can't do anything about it..

Is there anyway I can like. idk, cover it up or anything.. I know that makes no sense. Just like any ideas (serious answers only) of how to at least draw attention away from my disgusting carpet would help.. haha

Get an area rug that you can put down over the rug that will tie the elements of your room together and distract from the mustard rug. I found a site with some good info http://www.arearugscarpet.com/Shag-rugs.html There are all sorts of styles that can enhance your room. Hope this helps you out.

You can get a rug to place in the open area of the room. Get one that has the colors you like, but also won't look terrible on top of the yellow carpet. Most department stores and home improvement stores carry a selection of area rugs.

Get an area rug for the 'open' area of your floor.
Do not 'spill' on your carpet - insurance will not cover stupidity.

Have you looked under the carpet to see if the floorboards are in good condition. You could varnish them. Or you could spill something on it and claim on your insurance for a new one!!!!!!
