Take a lot of pictures and document EVERYTHING including what your landlord said what he is going to do OR not going to do... You can then have a housing inspector test/inspect the home and give you a professional opinion on what to do and how much it will cost.... Send copies to your landlord... Give him the benefit of the doubt and try to work with him/her.. IF you still can't get any closure then it's time to contact the city health inspector and have him/her "site" your landlord.. They will inspect the home and find everything/anything that is a violation of city code and he/she will have "X" amount of time to fix it OR pay large fines ontop of having the repairs.... You can put your "rent" in an escrow account until the repairs are made... I would discuss this option with an attorney BEFORE forgoing any rent.... Good luck....

Call the Health Department immediately. For a temporay fix, you can try Tilex mold and mildew remover. Just spray, spray, spray and it will at least kill the mold. Just Do Not try to scrub it or brush it off, as it will release the spores. My basement wall was covered with it along the baseboard from a leak prior to my buying it and the spray really helped with the stuff at the surface. The Health Department will get on him to get rid of the stuff in the walls, but you will probably have to leave while it is being fixed and if the landlord threatens to "kick" you out, a good lawyer will fix him up. Good Luck.

Better do it soon.
Mold is terrible for you. Some people think it's a fad to believe it's bad... Nope. It's truly dangerous.
Get your health dept involved. You may be able to get some compensation, but from my experience, the legal system can **** up in this area and you may not get any compensation...

You could try to call the health department or even the city hall and speak with the city inspector. Once you start asking around you'll probably get pointed in the right direction. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the oil.....

my husband and daughter lived with me at my parents house and it is covered in mold. I'm talking about walls, roof, floors inside and outside and my daughter got extremely sick of her respiratory system. I don't know what you can do to get help because in my case it was my parents but you need to get those kids out. Once I left (6 months ago) my daughter hasn't been in the emergency room since. Get those kids out of there!!
