there seems to be some confusion to my earlier question of handy men help me,let me clarify, I have a zanussi nexus washing machine, it will not start because the machine does not recognise that the door is closed, the clip on the door is ok, it is the hole into which the door latch locks into on the main body of the machine itself that is causing the problem, how do i get to this bit please, I hope it is as simple as a loose wire but i need to know how to strip the machine to get to it thanks for your help)

Any reason you don't want to call a trained and professional repairman? Or would you rather putz with it and possibly make the problem worse first?

most wash machines can be taken apart by using a putty knife or butter knife in between the top and the front of the machine there are two clips that hold the front on push in the putty knife and slide it along until you hit the clip then push clip in

Well, I went looking on the manufacturer's website for a service manual... and it looks like they REALLY don't want owners working on their own machines, lol.
