Hello friends,
I recently got my boiler replaced with a new 'A' rated glow worm one.I have observed that my central heating starts in no time only when I put my hot water on.If I only start central heating, it doesn't seem to heat up the radiators.I have set the room thermostat to 22 C .Any ideas please.

My husband and I cleaned most of it up using an ice cube, knife, warm iron and paper towel, althought the texture of the rug is rougher than before and there is still dye residue (it was a soy based candle) and i ran our carpet shampooer over it with a little carpet cleaning solution....does anyone have any other suggestions (other than a new rug-its not even a year old) or possible home cleaning tricks/solutions you think might be helpful removing the dye and "softening" the rug back (or even close id be greatful) to its original state? Thank You in advance!!

I'm wondering how I can kill the Kudzo vines that have flooded a cemetery near my home. I'm thinking burning would really do the best job, especially now that winter is coming and the plants will turn brown however, can i do that without damaging the gravestones? Its hard for you to even see the gravestones which is why i want to do something about it. It really is a shame that families don't care about where their people were burried anymore. What can I do? The cemetery is fairly large. HELP!

I received an estimate of $9 per foot installed. I was wondering how much the guards themselves cost per foot and how much was labor. Also anyone have this type of guard and are you happy with it or do you think it is a waste of money?

While investigating a leak under kitchen sink I discovered cracks in the p-trap and trap arm (the part coming out of the wall). It looks like the arm is glued in place and is definitely leaking.

How can I fix this? Do I need to Cut the pipe or is there some other way of stopping the leak? If I cut it, how can I make sure I don't break the pipe coming out of my wall? Any tricks for this?

It looks like whoever installed the pipes forced them in to accomodate the disposal. Rather than rethinking their pipe layout, they just forced them all in and over time the pipes cracked. I'll rework the pipes to relieve the stress once I get the new p-trap arm in.

Thanks for the help.
-Mike

Say, there's 5 people in the house and they all eat breakfast and dinner. Would they be using up more water if they use the dishwasher once at the end of the day or would it be more economical to wash stuff by hand?
