While investigating a leak under kitchen sink I discovered cracks in the p-trap and trap arm (the part coming out of the wall). It looks like the arm is glued in place and is definitely leaking.
How can I fix this? Do I need to Cut the pipe or is there some other way of stopping the leak? If I cut it, how can I make sure I don't break the pipe coming out of my wall? Any tricks for this?
It looks like whoever installed the pipes forced them in to accomodate the disposal. Rather than rethinking their pipe layout, they just forced them all in and over time the pipes cracked. I'll rework the pipes to relieve the stress once I get the new p-trap arm in.
Thanks for the help.
