I planted some rose of sharons that were given to me a couple of years ago. they still look like immature plants. they hardly get flowers on them. they basically look about the same exept a little taller maybe. the person who gave them to me didn't plant them vary deep and i wondered if that might be the issue? I have been reading about rose of sharons and everyone says how they spread and how easily they grow. What am i doing wrong?

I have cleaned my whirlpool gas stove in and out and have pulled it away from the wall and cleaned under it and behind it. When I turn it on, as it heats up, a black smoke starts coming out from it and my fire detectors go off. It is not in the main part of the oven but somewhere below because I can see it coming through the cracks inside the oven. I can't tell what the problem is- I know it is not because it needs cleaned- it is spotless on the inside! Any suggestions?

She thinks it's a cottonwood. It's about 35 -40 inches around.

Is there any way of getting rid of it easily, cheeply, and with out having her husband know she is doing it. She wants it to look like the tree died or is dieing of natural causes.

How can she do this.

To you tree huggers don't criticize her either. She is a good person with a good heart.

When I used to do construction I remember seeing these really long power strips usually in offices at cubicles and such. Its basically a power strip/ surge protector that is 4-6 feet long with 2 plugs every foot or so rather than 6-10 right next to each other. Does anyone know what these are called, I cant remember and I couldnt find one under power strips/ surge protectors at staples or lowes website. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me out.

I have an annual Hibiscus flower plant and have been told if I dig it up (I planted it in a container to be able to dig up) and keep it in the basement I should be able to replant it next year, any tips or suggestions on how to keep it alive during the winter?

I had a very bad appetite, and my parents made me eat on the balcony (doctor said - for fresh air), and told me not to leave my seat until I eat all the porridge. And they did it day after day, keeping me there, trying make me to eat it. And I did not want to, but I made friend with a large crow, and it came daily and ate the porridge off my plate, and my parents praised me, and then gave me pancakes, hot and nice, and I
wanted them for myself, but the crow came and took them all, I tried to fight it, but it is large, with a large beak. And it ate
everything, and flew away.
Now will it go on coming and stealing all the yummy food off me every day? I wanted only to give it porridge.

I have two overhead lights wired to the switch. One comes on like a champ when I hit the switch, the other comes on sometimes and sometimes not (the one that takes its sweet time is a florescent, the other's incand.) Is the problem with the bulbs, the ballast, the connection at the light, the switch? The fixture's been up there with the same bulbs and ballast for years, but it still comes on, sometimes.

I some how managed to get a large mark with permanent marker on my off white metal screen door. I tried removing the marker with nail polish remover and damaged the finish. Is there anyway to repair the finish without repainting the entire door?
