How do your repair the finish on a metal/screen door?

I some how managed to get a large mark with permanent marker on my off white metal screen door. I tried removing the marker with nail polish remover and damaged the finish. Is there anyway to repair the finish without repainting the entire door?

You can do this but matching the color will be a problem.
