how much should I cut back my iris's?

Does anyone know how I should prepare my Iris's for winter.

I always trim mine back to about 6 inches in length. Every three years or so you should dig them up and divide the bulbs as well.

I cut them just above ground level.

The plural is Iris.So prune off the extra "s"
