I would definitely get rid of any toys that smell like gasoline because they are probably toxic and hazardous to your children's health. Do not use these toys. Take them back to the store where you bought them from and demand a refund. Are these toys made in China? They most likely are.

Try buying American made toys or toys made in Europe. Most of the recent recalls have been for toys made in China.

If the toys have no metal pieces, toss them in the dishwasher.

The hot water and steam will steralize and deodorize most toys.
