I was helping a friend paint and got some overspray on her carpet. I've tried oops but, still it won't completely come out.

It depends upon whether it is enamel paint or water based. I once spilt a whole tin of enamel on my carpet and my husband got it out with acetone. You have to check that the acetone isnt going to strip the colour which it can do with some carpet. I have also had success in getting other types of paints out with a paste made up of napisan powder rubbed into the carpet and then sponged till the napisan is removed.

You might try a product known as POG.
It's Paint, Oil and Grease remover.
Janitorial supply'll stock it.

Dried Latex Enamel paints are pretty hard to remove from fibers.
Good Luck.
