So, I came home from work today and came in through the back door. Everything was fine. I went to the back door about an hour and a half later and my deck and screen door were infested!! They were covering my deck. There were easily hundreds if not thousands of them!! They look like brown ants with wings. I sprayed with bug spray that has worked well in the past. Hopefully they are gone. Does anyone know how I was infested so quickly and what type of insect does that? I'm in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The temp here is in the mid 70s it rained a bit yesterday and the day before.

I am finishing a cloak out of cotton velour in a beautiful shade of jade. I love the material. However I was thinking about weatherproofing it and had several recommendations for Nikwax. Has anyone ever used weatherproofing? Did you like it? And do you know if cotton velour can be machine washed (as thats how you weatherproof it)? Thanks!

According to Nikwax site, it is fine for cotton. But there is no mention of velour fabrics.

What is your suggestion to whiten up white washcloths? Washing in regular detergent does not really get the deeper dirt, and eventually they get so dingy looking. What do you suggest? Bleach does not seem to help.

I looking to buy new Hello Kitty bed sheet, and pillow cases, and also a new comforter. I want the comforter. I want the comforter to be black with white musical notes. Although, anything about music would do. I would like it black though.
Anyone have any ideas on where to buy these at? A link to the places would be nice.....<3

Hi,

Today I have spotted that a small part of my bedroom ceiling is wet to touch and it has also affected a small part of the wallpaper just below it. The wet has kind of a sticky feel to it

Do you know what could have caused this and what I should do?

It ties in with us starting to put the central heating on again.

Could it be a leaking pipe in the loft?

Thanks, Neil

You know that car window paint, the stuff that comes in the little tube and you can write on windows and then it just comes off with washer fluid blah blah blah.

where in walmart is it located? Is it with the art supplies (like regular paint and crayons) or with party supplies?

and please no "You can make it with jello" or "Finger paint works too" because this is for cheerleading, and we have like two minutes to run around and tag cars haha. so yeah.

I have a 1080 square foot apartment. All of the walls are painted WHITE. My children have marked on every inch of every wall, door and closet with colored markers, permanent markers, crayons, pencils, pens, keys and whatever else they could find. They think the walls are giant paper.

I've tried scrubbing the walls but decided that it's not worth the time being that large areas are covered with these markings. My lease ends the end of November and I did't pay a security deposit when I moved in and don't want to get charged and I need to find out if I should hire a painter to paint the walls white or do it myself?

I'm trying to be as cheap as possible. There's nothing special about the paint that is on the wall. It's not glossy or anything. I think that it's just flat, white paint.

My question is... would it be cheaper to hire a painter to paint a 1080 sqft. apartment WHITE, not including the celing or should I do it myself with no family or friends that can help?

I have a slight problem. The downstairs bay window area is brick, however upstairs the inside is plaster boarded.

The existing single radiator was the old type which didn't convect much heat. I have now bought a double and I am concerned as to weight of the radiator as its heavy.

I have bought some heavy duty plasterboard wall plugs, but I am concerned as to whether or not the wall will be able to support the weight of the radiator.

Any advice out there?

The radiator

I am going to install a sliding door for a closet. The only problem is that the bottom track of the door is supposed to be screwed to the floor and the floor is tiled. Is there some sort of cement or adhesive that is recommended for this?
