They are hardy in zones 4 to 8 and bloom from early summer to mid summer. But they may be available from a florist at other times by import. I worked for a florist for almost a year delivering flowers and they imported roses from South America during the season they weren't available here. There are also indoor greenhouses where some flowers are available yearround. Check with your florist to find out if and when they can import them from elsewhere.

Zone 7, they bloom in late spring for us. By August they are finished and we cut them to the soil line. (West Texas)

Most flowers are finishing up in August and going into seed. August and September are usually gardening clearing time. If I were you, I'd think of something else. Check with a local nursery and see what they have to say. But hurry, it is almost time for them to close for the winter.
