My neighbor has a big tree and the branches hang over my lot line. Can I ask my neighbor to cut the branches back from the lot line? And what if the neighbor does not comply with the request? Does he have to do this?

I live in a brick ranch which is a very boring tan color. The roof is a light brown. It's all very neutral and boring. I want to paint my front door to add some color. The window in my front door has a covering over it which is in purple tones (so people can't see in). I was thinking of going with an eggplant color. One neighbor says it'll look good and the other said it won't. I also thought about going with a bronze color, but again, my neighbors said its too orange. Any ideas..... no Red please.

I have cleaned and shined my Pergo type wood floor (not Pergo name brand) in the bedroom to a nice shine. Now I need to know what to use on my dustmop to attract and hold the dust on a as needed basis. I am not sure how furniture dusting polish would do with my cleaner. I used "Orange-glo Wood Cleaner and Polish".

I have a rental home that gets very musty in the summer. We have a dehumidifier running all the time and have air fresheners and stuff but I feel bad for some of the tenants who complain.

What else can we do to try to reduce the smell?

How can we get the owner to go down on the price?

How do I check/test to see if my wires are ok? I have a multitester and seem to remember that you can test to see if wires are ok by their resistance somehow.

My apartment has a dishwasher (it was new when I moved in), but I have never used it. Now I'm wondering, is it bad for the diswasher not to be used? I'm talking 2-3 years never being used. Is it better to never use it, always use it, use it once in a while? I know this may be a stupid question, but since it belongs to the apartment complex, not me, I would like to take good care of it. Thanks.

I have my final walk through on my first home and am wondering what I am supposed to do. I know to test appliances, windows, doors, lights, etc., but what about things I find unsatisfactory. For example, there is trash in the shed that I want removed prior to closing - how do I ask for this? Do I ask for money back or demand it be done? What about smoke alarms - there are none in the house - can I ask that these be installed before closing?
