I don't use bleach, how come this is happening and how can I prevent it?

It seems that the pink areas are only the areas that touch my body after the shower -- inside around the neck and torso area and on the cuff where I wipe my face. Could this be soap or some other residue from the shower bleaching the robe?

What's your way of washing... Don't dip the clothes in soap tub for too many time.. It cause bleeding as well as fading of colour.. do regular and simple wash either in washing machine or in hand.. that would be best.

And Cotton dresses usually fade compared to other materials... Try to purchase vat dyed cotton clothes to avoid color fading since it's having good wash fastness..

Usually darker colours have the tendency of running ,so it is best to wash them separate from all of the others.
Use a bit if white vinegar in the final rinse and this will stop it . But next time separate the colours! If the detergent that you are using contains even a small amount of bleach this could cause stains or the detergent was not well diluted in the washer and clumped up at some point.

This just happened to a blue bath towel I recently bought. I don't use bleach either, and have no idea why there are faded blotches. Perhaps Fordman's answer is correct because I seldom wait for the washer to fill before adding the clothes.

Use color catchers in the washer everytime you wash the laundry it will absorb the running colors and your clothes won't absorb the other colors, the color catchers are put out by clorox they are found in the detergent aisle in Walmart's they come in a box like the dryer sheets i use them all the time they're great.

Stop overstuffing, the soap is accumulating on those areas and can't mix up right

I had this problem once only the color was blue. I finally put two and two together. For me the culprit was my fabric softener. Good luck. Im curious what it could be for you.

Do the colour changes occur in places where you sweat? (armpits, collar, etc.) I remember my mother telling me when I was younger that if you have a high acidity level in your skin, sweat can occasionally cause bleaching.

You are using cold water aren't you?

Are you putting in the soap before the water fills?

Other than that, I have no idea.
