I have the thermostat set on 79 because it just isn't keeping up. It still doesn't keep up at 79 until the evenings when it cools off outside. The thermostat seems to be working because once it cools off, the unit kicks on and off like it should. I don't know if my ducts needs to be cleaned or if this could be a freon problem.

I live in the Phoenix area, so it's hot down here. I have no idea what type of grass I have. It's dying all over the place. I need to know the best plan of attack to bring it back to life. When is the right time to do what? I see ads all over the place for this seed and that fertalizer. What exactly should my approach be?

I spay poison, spead poison but the rain has been relentless and just washes it away. My dogs are getting eaten up and I can go outside for 5 minutes and just get eaten alive. What can I do to rid them and rid them affordably?

The bathroom in question is 56 square feet.
Large tile = 1 square foot
Small tile = 6 square inches

Or is it a matter of personal opinion?

If I dump a bucket of water down the toilet it seems to flush just fine. I checked the flush valve and it opens fully when flushing. This happens even when I make sure the water tank level is up to the top of the overflow drain. It seems to me if it was a problem with the toilet drain tubing, dumping a bucket into the tank would also flush leisurely but it seems to flush just fine. There just doesn't seem to be enough pressure from the water in the tank to give a good flush, what should I check/do? Thanks.

I have a Trane SE1000 central air unit. Along with that I have a Trane Taystat340 programmable Thermostat. I have the temperature set for 71 degrees for cooling. However, during the really hot days the thermostat never reaches the 71 degrees I have it set for, for example, we had some days that were in the 90's and the thermostat was reading 76 degrees even after the sun went down. Is this normal?? I checked the air coming out of the vents and they are around 59-60 degrees but it just doesn't seem like the house is cooling down enough.

I am helping my daughters family pack for a move out of state. They leave in 2 weeks and have a LOT of stuff. We are having a yard sale next weekend. Fortunately, the weather will remain hot and sunny for the duration so we can use the yard for sorting. A professional moving company will be packing so nothing can be packed by the family. Also, any garage sale tips will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! An OVERWHELMED MOM AND DAUGHTER!!!!!!

It looks like someone put in sheetrock but did not tape or mud it before putting texture on the ceiling. It has ridges, pretty big ones, every 4 feet. Looks bad. How can I fix that short of knocking it all down and starting over? I don't know how to do the work myself and would have to hire it done if I take it down and start over. Any ideas how to make it look better? Panel it? Texture it over their texture and hope the lines don't show? Any and all suggestions welcome. Thanks.

I read that chefs keep their white coats white by washing them with dishwasher powder instead of laundry detergent. The article said that this would work on all "whites" but did not say how much to use. Does anyone know how much dishwasher powder to use in an average size washing machine?

Does a tomato plant stop producing tomato's at one point?

I have four tomato plants. Two of them have produced about 7 per plant. Two of the others, sprouted their yellow flowers and no tomato's grew.

Is there a way to encourage growth, besides using Miracle Grow which I used. Any home remedies?
Do the plants reproduce new tomato's from which I picked from?

The trees are in my yard but have been there for 40+ years. I have no objection to the removal of the branches that he has chosen but I don't see why I should pay for it. The trees were there when he moved in so it is not as if anything has changed. I, on the other hand, now hear his air conditioning unit which was newly installed. I don't have one so my windows are open. Also he has let his hedge grow so tall that it shades my garden but I believe that all of this is just part of living in a cheek- by- jowl neighbourhood.
