I recently put a weight bench in my garage. It is in the center of the garage and not near any water or other moisture. However, it has only been there for about 4 days and the weight bar already has spots of rust on it! I've noticed that some of my older hand tools get covered in rust in a short period of time in my garage as well. Is there something other than water that could be causing metal to rust so fast?

We were at a party this weekend, shaded porch, but ambient temp in the 90s, high humidity. A group was sitting at a glass top patio table with cool drinks in glass glasses. The table simply exploded and dropped to the floor in safety glass cubes. We were stunned (some minor ankle nicks). No one had hands on table, nothing sharp, no sudden blows, no heavy load on table.

Thermal shock was our only guess. Anyone ever had a similar experience? Ideas?

I live in a city apartment and the licensed venue across the road is very noisy Friday and Saturday nights. Have thought about covering windows in foam but that would block the awesome view I have.

I have several large cantaloupes in my garden but they look kind of light green. Not the pale color you see in the store.

These just showed up in our computer room out of nowhere. They are very small bugs, wingless, andvery pale tan in color, almost transparent. They don't fly but I swear they just magically appear out of thin air! They don't bite or sting but I've felt one or two on me and they're very annoying. Most of them seem to show up on the computer monitor. Maybe they're drawn to the heat. We live in Michigan and it's been warm and humid the past few days. I'm wondering if something hatched or somethig, but we've never had these in our house before. There aren't like swarms of them or anything, but you kill one and a few minutes later another one appears. They seem harmless but annoying. Does anyone know what they are? They are very light brown, almost transparent, and small, smaller than an ant. Short legs and tiny roundish body. Any help appreciated!

I have an old piano that I wish to strip the horrid yellow paint off. I tried using stripper, but it was awful, and now my piano looks horrendous, with orange gooey stuff on it. I want to find something less messy, and more importantly, less carcinogenic. Any suggestions?

I came home today from work to find a window fan in the kitchen. I noticed it wasnt blowing in any air. It was turned backwards so its blowing air outside. I asked my mom why the fan is reversed. She Says because she is blowing all the hot air from the kitchen outside. In my head im going wtf??? Correct me if im wrong but isnt it better blown In than out? and isnt Hot air better than NO air? i couldnt reason my point with her. I just said forget it and i went into my room with the air conditioner that i bought. Oh and My air conditioner is facing the RIGHT way if you were wondering lol.

Hey there I was wondering if you knew where to get kitchen cabinets *without* pulls that have a curdoroy effect (tight vertical ribbing or fluting). The recess at the bottom of each door would be the opening mechanism. Thx

We've grown some sweet corn this year in our garden. We were wondering if there is any fool proof way of knowing when it is ready to pick besides pulling the husk back and looking?

Dear friends, we always wash our dishes without wearing gloves and have always wondered whether it will be safe and healthy to our hands and skin if we will continue to do so. What do you think? Is there any dish detergent in the stores that is safe and healthy to use without wearing gloves? And are there any gloves that are specific to washing dishes with? Thank you very much beforehand, sincerely, Rojin
