New home purchase includes a large sunroom that is essentially intergrated into the home. The sunroom originally a deck which was sealed finished, and an entire new roof line was put on the house to accomodate it. It has double pane windows, heat, air and electricity. Basicially I'm saying it would be a huge waste and headache if its condition were to deteriorate. It was done in the 80's I believe. Everything appear sound and straight now, but the lack of foundation concerns me. It is currently sitting on the deck legs which are bolted to several spots of concrete of unknown depth. Is this a done deal that I have to just hope holds up, or can something be done to ensure the integrity of the structure?

Anyone else seen this done before, i do you think it will look good?

We have been told our drain field has to be replaced at a tune of about $4000.00. The thing is, within about 1 to 2 years the county I live in will have installed a sewer system which will make the $4000.00 a hugh waste! So we are just going to have the septic pumped every 2-3 months at $225.00 a pop, but it is still cheaper.

My question, any suggestions on how to make the 2-3 months stretch any farther? We do the obvious, IE: limit water use, limit flushes, wash large loads, don't put anything down the garbage disposal, etc... I didn't know if there were any other tricks of the trade someone could suggest. Thanks in advance!!

I am shocked and yet very surprized at myself.
I have had this same 'Philodendron' house plant here just 5 feet from me for 19 long years now.
A Church friend gave me this Philodendron plant back in September of 1988 for a house-warming party for me.

It is the most hardest Plant to accidently 'Kill' lol.
I am considered a Green-Thumb person but,,,,,, several times in the 19 years, I'v gone 10-12 days before I'd Remember to Water my Philodendron house plant again : )
Once in July of 1997, I really almost Killed my (( never say die, house plant )) Failed to Water it for almost 4 weeks.
I just Soaked my entire Philodendron plant in MIRACLE-GRO in the sink 10 inches high for
7 hours and Quickly came back to full health Green.
I truely love my 'Plant' as though it's my baby LOL. It's been through and Seen Alot in those 19 years with me.

*Once again, Is it normal for Philodendron house plants to Live for 19 years or longer ??

It takes a really long time for my water to get hot -- so long that I think the clothes never actually get washed in "hot" water. I have to run the shower up to 5 minutes before I can get in. I know this is so wasteful -- is there any way to make it get hot faster? By the way, the people who lived in this house before us added one of those "instant hot" things to the water heater, and I don't know if it was worse before that, but it sure isn't instant now.

I have heard that you cannot get an exterminator to kill them bc they are protected in some way. Is there any way to get something that irritates them or in some other way just makes them leave and go elsewhere? Is there any way to get rid of them at all?

We have a grand piano - it is medium sized (so not really a grand - but not a baby). We want to move it from our formal lounge area into our family area. We know the legs have to be taken off but the piano must weigh so much - should we get a professional - have you ever tried? Our doors are wide - but probably not wide enough - and too scared to ruin our wooden floorboards.

I have a house with well water. We lost power from a bad storm for over 24 hours. During that time, I had no water, I understand it is because the pump from my well requires electric power to operate. Now the power has been restored to my house I still have no water. There is simply no water pressure or flow from any faucet or the shower.
