OK. Here I come to save the day ... Ok know this one ...
Baking soda and Boric acid. Put Boric acid along the walls in fine lines. About 4" from the walls, put the baking soda power and brush towards the middle of the room. One is an acid and one is a base. when the two meet, some powerful reactions take place. The ants are in between and take it all back to the colony. It also messes up their path marking system, forsnic acid.

I have had the same problem. There are a combonation of solutions. 1 ants hate mint leaves. Lay fresh mint leaves on your counter. 2 spray inside around your baseboards with Raid ant killer, buy a bag of ant killer in the big bags and sprinkle it around the perimiter of your house. Then last but not least, get rid of all open food or spills on your counter. Even a crumb can attract an ant. Once their food souce is gone and their entrance and exits are poisoned they will be gone. Eventually the queen will eat the poison. This may take a few days but it works.

Get on one of those TB masks, spray all around the baseboards and look to see where they seem to be originating from. If this does not work there are Bug Bombs that you set off, leave the house for 4-6 hours. That should do the drick. If all esle fails call the Orkin Man. You can always have me sing to them, "The ant go marching in and in Hoorah hoorah the aunts go marching one by one the little one stopped and broke his thumb. . . .etc.

Hello!
It depends on what kind of ants they are. If they are really tiny black ones that smell foul when squished, they are more than likely "sugar" ants. They are a pest! When you disturb them, they just pick up and move somewhere else or follow a differant trail. Try washing down your counters with vinigar. IO have also heard that Mule team Borax will deter pests, though I have not tried it, yet! I you know where they are coming in at, try tape or something sticky, upside down, so when they walk on it they stick. Good Luck!

They need one of three things from you; Food, water or shelter. Get rid of one of those and their history.
As a rule, ants don't care for mint. So if you're creative, find ways to use dried and liquid form's of mint to make their lives uncomfortable. The good thing is that mint isn't toxic to you or your pets. :o)

This happened in my kitchen, too. Ants do not like soap, so just put soapy suds where they are, and they will lose their trails and will leave, or die. Bye, bye.

Buy an Aardvark. They're in the hardware section at Lowe's and Home Depot right next to the cordless extention cords and the board stretchers. If you can't find them, just ask any associate.

Spray some vinegar around, I'd tell you to pee, but I know you won't do it.
