I have the Titan Tankless Water Heater and it has been fantastic for me. I have the smaller N-120 model in my 3 Br, 2.5 home and it works great. I have endless hot water (can shower all day if I want, guests can take unlimited showers in a row), saved a ton of space and my electric bill went down about 35 dollars as it only uses electricity when you activate your hot water. My friend has the N-180 and loves it. It is about the equivalent of maybe 1.5 of my N-120s in power. It needs a double pole 50 AMP breaker with 8 gauge wire. I paid 200 for installation of mine and he paid the same (same installer). The unit is about 450 dollars which is much lower than comparable brands with no where near the quality of the Titan.
I researched this a lot and found it ranked highest on all ratings for electric models. The company has been in business for over two decades and has a great warranty. Gas is so dangerous so I wont even consider it.

They don't have the N-180 on their site of http://titantankless.com as they are a week behind in production(huge demand) . My friend had to wait two weeks to get his but I understand they will be back in stock this week and on the site.
I hope this helps and all my best!

Overall, the units work very well. Just make sure you size it appropriately. The more gallons per minute you use the cooler the water. The only cons to the installation is that most of these units require a 50 amp double pole breaker and #8 AWG copper wire, so the initial investment is going to be fairly high. As long as your o.k. with spending about $800-$1500 total, (depending on whether you install the electrical yourself or have a contractor do it) you will be happy with the end results. You should also see a small decrease in your electric bills. Hope this helps.

tankless hot water tanks are big in europe and canada and now are comming to america.

they are about the size ranging from a toaster oven to the size of a cooler and they hang on the wall usually. they also use very little energy as there is no tank to store a hot source of hot water in. also if the water heater decides to go and break you will not have a flood of water all over your house like a regular water tank. tankless water heaters never run out of hot water like a regular water tank will. the tankless system works this way: if you turn on the kitchen sink using a small stream of hot water the main burner will only heat up the water with a small flame. if you increase the water flow the flame will burn much hotter to bring in even more hot water.

some cons would include the tank doesnt provide a fast up front burst of hot water like a regular water tank does. when you turn on your hot water you will wait a few seconds longer usually but the difference some say in the wait to get the water is not noticable. the up front cost of the water heater is high compared to a tank version. you have to remember though the long term savings from this type of heater is well worth the up front price if you can afford it.

with todays technology in household appliances...you have to remember that most washers and dishwashers have an available sanitary cycle that is used to heat up its own water within the unit so if you are worried about the appliances needing water, dont be worried at all!
