I have an old piano that I wish to strip the horrid yellow paint off. I tried using stripper, but it was awful, and now my piano looks horrendous, with orange gooey stuff on it. I want to find something less messy, and more importantly, less carcinogenic. Any suggestions?

Ask for a Citrus based stripper from your nearest paint or hardware store. It works slower than other strippers, but will get the job done. The surface will need to be cleaned thoroughly before you try to apply new finish.

For a job this big, you just might want to contact a furniture restorer, or cabinet maker -- someone who specializes in wood finishing.

Good Luck

try back to nature ready strip or multi strip, it works & doesnt have an odor or burn your skin.
