The sink is stained with a dark scuff and I woukld like to know how to remove it.

use a product called soft scrub with bleach it really is a good product and if you are like me if you cant smell bleach then my kitchen aint clean . good luck .

try closing drain cover scuff?with vinagar let soak over night if porcelin becarefull not to scuff with any thing abrasive

Those magic sponges work wonderfully. I have heard that they are bad for the environment but haven't researched it.

brillo pads work really good. it all depends on what kind of sink too.

baking soda and scrub, if that doesn't work you can use bleach
