this is a problem that can be fixed without too much cost and alot of effort if you are up to it. You proobably have a sagging floor joist. rent or borrow a ten ton capacity hydraulic jack and jack up the floor joists from underneath the sagging area and have someone with a straight edge or level check the floor as you slowly raise the sagged area until it levels out shim between the supporting posts and joists . this will work if the posts and joists are not rotted out or broken if they are you'll have to repair them (bigger job). aquicker fix is to overlay the floor with plywood and shim underneath in sagged area with small pieces of wood slats , you'll have unmatched floor levels at doorways and you may have to trim the door bottoms to allow for the raised floor

right now I have a "broad" under the front of the dresser to level it ????????????????
Really? A "broad"? A female? WOW!

Sounds like some rotted joists.
Tear up the flooring and if you can splice new joists to the old, that's the easiest.
Hope it's not termites. May be more serious.

sue your surveyor

is the bedroom upstairs? If so, I think you need to take up the floor to see what the problem is - perhaps a joist has bent or cracked and needs to be replaced.

Didn't you have the home inspected before you bought it? Was it an "As Is" sale? It seems that if it passed inspection then the fault lies with the inspector. I would get the advice of an attorney concerning this.
