It really depends on taste. I associate smaller tiles with being in older homes and larger ones to be more of a modern look.
Other than that, it's just easy to install the larger ones.

The practical answer is either one will work.
For the matter of how it looks, it is a matter of proportion and scale. In a bath this size, using the larger tile will highlight the size of the floor because there are so few tiles visible.
Using the smaller tile will be more in proportion to the size of the rest of the room.
(As a hint, the installer can select the size of the grout joint. So long as the tiles have a square edge, he can make the joint small, just a quarter inch. If the tiles have an irregular edge, he will be forced to use a larger grout joint in order to align the tiles. Too, for a floor, select a mid-tone gray grout. It's close to the color of the dirt on the bottom of your shoes and won't show a traffic pattern over time.)

It is a matter of opinion. I will say that in my years of doing building surveys, I very rarely saw small bathrooms with anything over 4" x 4". I have the little tiles (1" x 1", 1" x 2" and 2" x 2") throughout my small bathroom and although I like the pattern, many have come loose and have come out and trying to repair many small tiles is a more tedious than just piecing in a single 4" x 4".

I would go with larger because it would be easier to clean the grout. If you have a lot of little ones that would be one long day of cleaning inbetween each one. I would go bigger for the ease of not only laying the tile but also the cleaning of it.

I think either would work but I would avoid those really tiny tiles because a busy pattern makes a room look smaller.

i hear smaller tiles make it look bigger, but i guess it's just how you like it to look so it would be a personal opinion
