I recently moved, and got my mother's old bedroom suite instead of the small bedroom set I had before.
I'm a fourteen-year-old girl, and a prep. I'm sick of the guys that come over avoiding my pink[now brown] room.
For one wall, I'm redoing my dedication wall. This has a white shelf ontop of it, and my walls need to stay white. The pictures & posters on this wall are going to be in black & white.
Should I do all of my room black and white [keeping in mind I have alot of boys over] and add red, or should I use another color scheme. I still want my wall, though.
Any ideas of what all I should do?
BTW. my favorite colors are lime green, hot pink, red, aqua, orange, and I still like black and white. My dresser & hutch are an oak color with gold on them.

I bought my orchid a month ago. It has moss as its soil. It was wet when I bought it, but its not drying out. I have another orchid which I have to water every week, however this one I've only watered it once, and even then it wasn't needing a watering. Now one of the leaves is yellow, and the spike is droping on the end, and the flowers are falling off. Whats wrong??

My son works at a fast food place and has tan t-shirts that are just grease spotted and greasy smell saturated. I was using Dawn dishwashing liquid and hot water, but the shirts are now just so greasy that isn't working anymore. I never buy name brand pricey detergents, but would if it would get these Ts actually clean. I usually use Purex or a store brand. Anyone sold on Era or Whisk?, or have other grease removing suggestions?

My boyfriend's apartment has stains on a few walls from people leaning with dirty hands. Also, I believe smoking has contributed to the stains along with him being a grease loving chef *smiles*. Either way, there are blackish/brownish stains randomly on the walls. Anyone know of a great remedy other than not touching the walls? Being that is a rented apartment, I thought he should start now with the wall upkeep!

When we start running the shower, for the first 30 seconds approximately, the adjacent tub gurgles. The same thing has happened in another bathroom. When that tiolet is flushed the tub gurgles. Is this problem? Never have heard it before. Is this a potential problem in the making?

Thanks

Hello. I have an old air conditoiner. It works great when it's on. Cools down almost the whole house to the point where you can where pants on a hot and humid day. Problem is, when we shut it off manually the fan still runs, we have to unplug it to get it to shut off completly. Then in order to turn it back on, we have to go flip the switch in the fuse box ???? We would like to use it this summer as it's getting pretty hot and our 3 year old has asthma but I do not know how it's acting is a dangerous problem or just something minor that we can deal with or fix. Thanks.

My oven is fairly new. Yesterday I noticed that distinctive aroma of frying electonics along with my nuked dinner. It began to come on and then go off after a couple of seconds, but when I unplugged it and then plugged it back in - would work for one use. Then go back to shutting down. I'm thinking that with labor costs as they are and no idea what is wrong, It may be financially better to just go get a new one. But I hate throwing usable stuff away, too! Do you think it could be a simple fix or do I need to go get the new one?

I planted 4 pumpkin vines at the back of my small garden. They are now 4-6 feet long, have about 20 flowers each (from the size of a walnut to the size of my hand) and are growng over/pulling down the other plants in the garden. I should have planted them farther apart, but live and learn.

Can I transplant them to another part of the garden? How would I transplant the vines?

I am buying my first home and in one of the rooms (rec. room) there is that ugly black and white large checkered board flooring. I just hate it. But i can afford to change the flooring in that room right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on what colors (besides white) would go well with this flooring?
