Do you know any eco-friendly and cheap ways of doing laundry without using washing powder/liquid etc, while still leaving clothes clean and smelling nice?
Can't stand thinking what all these chemicals are doing to the planet, as well as household products being tested on animals.
Thanks for any ideas!

i have a small pressure tank in my house that is working properly however it has burned out two limiting switches because it has to cycle on so often because of the limited amout of water it holds. i want to upgrade to a larger pressure tank or upgrade to a constant pressure submersable pump. i want to know if its hard or how hard is it to install a presure tank myself. i am pretty good with tools as long as i have good instructions. or should i just leave this task to a plumber.

I've just started a business selling these products - Will it work?
Would you buy one? they're coming in around £800-£900. might be able to offer finance on them.

Here you can see what they're all about. this isn't my website, this one is fairly rubbish but mine isn't finished yet.

My house never seems to be finished, i am forever clearing up; clearing away, putting things here, putting things there. I am in need of some great tips and pointers for getting organised around the house.

I have children if that helps!

I need new kitchen cabinets, and I don't like the ones I've seen at Home Depot or Lowes. Someone told me catalogs are a great place to get better cabinets at a good price. I'd love to hear some suggestions from people who know cabinets.

It's leaves are turning brown and dying one by one. So we moved it into a room that will give it more dierct light. Maybe it needs some artificial lighting too?? How do I go about doing that? And if I do that.. can I just put it back in the room I wanted it in first with some artificial light? How much does artificial lighting cost and how do I get it and what does it look like? Where do i find it as well? Thanks a bunch!

I live in a run down apartment building. My neighbors leave the place dirty- they throw trash on the floor, track mud in the building, etc. Since no one pays the building owner, there's no one that comes here to clean up. I sweep and mop the entry way and the stairs but I wish there was a way to tell my neighbors that they could take more pride in the place that they lived.

I bought from B & Q a dozen packs of what I thought would be perfectly adequate loft panels. However, the ones I bought are for 400mm joists. Theys specifically say that thye maximum centre span is 450mm so I can't use these.

However I'm really struggling to find loft panels that are designed for 600mm joists spaces.

Does anyone know where I can find these specific boards ??

My Father in law has been divorced for the last three years, and in the mean time he has failed to clean his house. His bathroom is disgusting, its so bad that when we go to visit him I refuse to shower there. He also has a cat that is allowed on all of the furniture so there is cat hair everywhere. Total disaster. Would it be rude of me to clean it and if not what is the best way to get soaked in for three years mold and soap scum in the bathroom? I really need help on this one.

I had a flood issue where a valve broke off of my water heater. I just bumped it and it broke. I have the corroded part that shows that I was not at fault for the water heater breaking. It had been loose and needing repair for some time. Now my landlord is trying to evict me for the non payment for the carpet cleaning and the drying of it. Is this possible?
