My plants are amazon swordplants,Java fern and Java moss. But only the Amazon swordplants are dying. Sometimes I think its because there's too much fertilizers for the plant resulting in algae bloom, or maybe I over pruned my plants. How do I actually prune the plants and keep them nice and tidy?I always seem to do a pretty bad job and the plants looks horrible after awhile.I have a CO2 diffuser, fertilizers with occasional dosing of liquid fertilizers and trace elements.Using 2 fluoroscent lamps with reflectors. The 2 tubes has been used for quite some time. There's always little particles floating in the water,i think my filter isn't up to the task anymore as I have what I believe a pretty heavily stock of fish in a 4ft tank. 2 adult and 2 baby angelfish,2 striped raphael catfish,4 bronze cory,4 panda cory,4 oto,2 wood shrimp,a few yamato,20 rummy nose and 20 cardinal tetras.

I have an energy saving lightbulb with an ioniser built in to it that I want to use as my main light in my bedroom. However, the ceiling fittings in my house are all bayonet fittings.

Is it possible to get this certain lightbulb working in a bayonet fitting on my ceiling via the use of an adapter or any other possible method?

Regarding the commercial on TV about 'patch perfect' (lawn seeds surrounded in nutrients), does that stuff really work? or is it a rip-off? Any better alternatives?

I started a xeriscape with seeds this spring; now that my black eyed susans have germinated (rudbeckia hirta) they are very close together (1 inch). I hate to pull any unless it's necessary. Can I just leave them alone? Will they bloom this year? I'm in zone 5.

I was wondering if it would be permanent, or if it would any harm to the sink or counter. I was thinking of using a rough textured acrylic to paint it because it would be way cheaper than replacing it. Should I do it? Will the paint start coming of from the sink if I keep washing puting water on it?
Thanks!

I have also checked the air pressure on the bladder tank and it is currently 58psi. I did notice though that even when the water pressure is at 60 psi and the pump is not running that the bladder tank is very light and hollow sounding as if there is not any water in it. Does this mean i need a new tank? What would be the next thing i should look at?

The garbage disposal unit isn't working in our sink. I cleaned it out and checked and both inner blades are free of food and debris, and can turn freely. I also checked beneath the unit, and the 'reset' button was pressed in like it should be.
But when I throw the switch, all the garbage disposal does is make a 'hmmmm' noise, and nothing happens.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks.
