Find what brand weed eater it is.....type in the search bar .... brandname.com there you will see your model etc and click for support..and will usually havea downloadable owners manual for your particular model..... Most electric weed eaters once shot or not pheasable to repair..the cost overweighs buying a new one... unless it's just the spool for it

It should show on the weed eater the direction to wind the string. Do you have the instruction manual?
