The wallpaper is pretty uniform and difficult to remove, so I'm checking here at Yahoo Answers how lazy it is to even be thinking of painting over wallpaper.

Hello,
A while ago I saw an ad in a daily newspaper for an anti-mould stick. You could simply apply it on your bathroom sealant, and it would prevent mould for a number of years. Now, I can not remember what it was called or where to get it. Any help?

I am looking for this stick - NOT for sprays/bleach/sealant etc.
Many thanks!

We have recently purchased and installed a new bath, however we are finding that when we stand in it it makes alot of noise (creaking, groaning) and it feels like it's going to collapse!! Not sure if we're just being a bit paranoid but I wondered if anyone else has had this with a new bath and if we should be worried? Any advise/ comments would be much appreciated.

This chairs where made of a round tubing frame with a green canvas cloth seat and back. These chairs look like a shorter version of a directors chair. The arms where wrapped in foam for padding and the newer ones had a piece of green canvas cloth wrapped around the foam. Some also had a green canvas cloth wrapped around one arm that dropped down and had two pockets on it. One pocket was a beverage holder and the other was square which could hold a magazine or other misc. items. I'm looking for about 10 of the chairs. I would be very grateful for any help finding this.

We have a large bathroom which also serves as a clothes washing room--washer and dryer, bathtub-shower combination, and a toilet. Which is safer/better for the FLOOR: vinyl or tiles? Right now we have vinyl flooring. It is somewhat slippery when wet. What about tiles, are they more slippery? We are on the 3rd floor. Do tiles leak? I'm thinking the cement stuff will eventually leak, especially if the wash machine over flows or something. We never had leaking with the large vinyl floor we now have. Cost is not a concern--lots of sales going on right now! Thanks for any input!

I'd like to create a few new flower beds. There are areas on my property that I'd like to plant perennials but are now full of weeds and brush, including a couple areas of grass in my front yard that a herbicide won't kill. I found a "recipe" using salt and vinegar that is supposed to kill anything. How long after applying this concoction can I plant my perennials? Or will I have created a desolate wasteland?

A couple of hours ago, a loud, high-pitched noise (sounds almost like the ringing of a tuning fork) started up and has been constant since then. I tracked it to what seemed to be the two air vents in the master bedroom, but when I shut the power off completely (circuit breaker), the noise stopped all together. When I walked outside, the noise seems to be coming from underneath the house, which is a crawlspace foundation. Any ideas as to what this could be? Thanks in advance.

I'm going to buy my boyfriend sheets and he wants silk, but I don't have the money for them. I searched online and when I looked for Silk, it brought up Satin... Satin is cheaper than Silk, I just need to know if it will feel the same.

I had Sod installed on February 9th. Since then it has grown nicely even though there are a few (3) brown patches remaining. I just mowed the lawn last Thursday and cut it to approx 3.5 inches (3" from ground). However, I noticed underneath the beautiful green grass is appears brown. Is this normal? if not, how do I treat it?

It isn't a banging noise. It's more of a howling, whining noise. I recently replaced the entire valve assembly in the toilet tank. But why would that make a difference? Nevertheless, I opened and shut the valves for the toilet and the house supply. Is there air in there? The noise is coming from the house overall more than near the toilet. Thanks!

We burn our trash and I need something that will burn everything down to ash, I don't mean cans and glass, cause those can recycle, but like plastics that don't melt all the way down, and some of the stuff on the bottom that doesn't get burned and damp items. I have tried using gas and disel but it doesn't burn long enough, to burn everything down. Any other suggestions?

hi, i have developed a leak in my hot tub and I'm not sure I know where it is coming from. However, there is one jet that appears to be broken because the center of it is very loose. So, I suspect that this is the problem...

i am reading about a product called "Seal-A-Leak". Has anyone had experience or used this product? I may think about trying it.

help please, I' at a loss right now... thanks

I needed a couple of small lamps for the house, but I didn't want to spend much. These lamps were super cheap, but look nice. The only catch was, that they are limited to 40 watt bulbs. I had the bright (ha ha) idea that maybe I could use those flourescent bulbs that replace your normal lightbulbs, because they are only 23 watts. At the same time, I get the same light output as if it were a nice 100 watt incandescent bulb.

Then, I started wondering if I might be running a fire risk anyway.

Anyone have any idea about this? Is it safe? How does the heat output compare? Flourescent is more efficient than incandescent, and if a 40 watt incadescent is ok, then a 23 flourescent should be too, no?

I'm kind of sure about this, but I'd rather pick other minds than start an electric or lamp shade fire in my house.

thanks
Kevin

I have 2 zone sprinkler system. it has worked fine as of two weeks ago. Only one zone now works. the other does nothing like it is a power issue. I checked timer and appears to be fine. How do I check solenoids for problems (do I need to open them up and if so, how) They look like hard plastic with two wires coming from each. i have three solenoids. is there something else I should be checking also?
