I want to insulate a bare concrete floor which may be subject to some moisture and I am using ceramic tiles on top. I am not using underfloor heating in this project. I would like to use Marmox (tile backer board) but the commercial boards I've seen are too thick (6mm). I can use Depron as that comes in 2mm and 3mm but it doesn't say it has an application for ceramic tiled floors. Any thoughts on whether Depron would be a workable and how to apply it?

I have seen these on ebay and wondered if they work on heavily stained carpets.
I want to buy a cleaner because it works out cheaper than renting them every month or so.
My 3 year old makes a right mess and no one listens to "shoes off please"
Please help, i need something good and affordable.

Any websites or any type of video is more then recommended. The pump doesn't have to be fancy but has to achieve its overall function be able to pump liquid from one container and put into another. The material I am trying to transfer from one container to another is corrosive, and i do not want to spill any on my hands or clothes. Any tips and/or ideas will be more then helpful and if a visual is available it will be better. Thank you for reading my question and hope to hear from you soon

I am dying to put up my blinds but am struggling because I can't drill a hole in the corner - it's way too tight. In desperation I used those 'no nails' strips to see if they would work but, unfortunately the blinds are too heavy.

Even the man in B&Q said there wasn't really anything I could do but there must be! How do the professionals do it??? On another post it was mentioned that it looks more professional if the blinds are in the recess and, quite frankly, I agree.

Oh, please help someone! I just need to drill a couple of holes in each (very tight) corner and that's it. Everything else will be easy. This is soooo frustrating!!!

I live in az. My office has an west exsposure and is the furthest room from our ac unit. Couple that with the fact that my pc has so much hardware in it it could double as a space heater and my office feels like an oven.
Anyone have any green suggestions to cool the place down?

I am moving out of my first apartment very soon. I plan on making sure all the lights work, replacing the drip pans and getting it into tip top shape. However, my toilet runs very slow and has since I moved in and I had a design of small circle mirrors up on the wall with sticky tac - it turns out that the sticky tact left small oil marks on the wall. My landlord is crap, and I hate this place. I am expecting to loose my deposit because these people are con- artists, but can they charge me more thatn my deposit for minor paint damage? Also Should I paint over the sticky tac marks with some white paint even if it looks patched or should I just leave it be? (this is what I get fo not putting any nails in my wall) I am so stressed out about this and moving and I just want to get out! Any tips?

Would you have it in your house or are you a boring beige person? Just Kidding :P

Should we add purple, pink and white clouds to it or leave it as is with the blue sky only?

We're also debating on whether to paint the ceiling silver (we want to do this throughtout the house), or to just do the rest of the ceilings silver and have this one continue the mural sky.

I've no clue what category this should go under--don't care too much right now. So, here’s the crappy deal: We have a tortoise -- a gopher, a turtle, whatever -- in our front yard right next to the driveway. We park there. The hole it dug is only getting bigger and we want it out. The problem? The state says we cannot touch it, which I have no problem with and already know. However, they also say that it will COST US to relocate it! $500 or more for a fine on touching it and/or mowing our lawn. $500 or more to relocate it! If our vehicles cave in on the darn thing, we get in trouble! We have no other place to park. What the heck do we do now??

My spare room is used as storage. It is literally floor to ceiling, front to back, with a small pathway leading to my computer. I try to clean it out, by pulling out a few boxes at a time, soting things and throwing away things, but it just gets too overwhelming and hard, and I hardly make a dent after working on it all afternoon. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to stay motivated and just keep working on it?

My comforter is a dark purple and my blinds are blue. I found that a good color to match this was a color that can best be described as sand. I was thinking about painting 3 of the walls the sand color and one wall blue to have a beach type theme. It would be the wall opisite the blue blinds but similar in color.

Or should I just do a ll 4 walls the same color?
