I'm a woodworker and often use my wood shavings to mulch my veggie garden. My main concern is for the Coast Redwood shavings because of the Tannic acid. I also use alot of white cedar and the plants I'm mulching are strawberries, onions, lettuce and beets. I live on the west coast and the soil is acidic. Are there any types of woods that shouldn't be used in the garden?

Dig the holes with an big auger and fill with gravels or sand. I guess it will depend on how deep the compat soil (or clay) is. Any professionals can comment on this pls? I am in Texas DWF area. I try not to dig trench and run drain pipes. I know I will hit many roots and simply digging holes vertically seems to be the easiest way.

Please help..I know this is random and I feel very "I love lucy" but long story short my flash drive went down my dryer vent. I was cleaning it out and had too many things in my hand. On top of that...I am in Austin (where it is flooding). I don't think it made its way outside b/c I wadded through some water looking (and I think it is too heavy). I took the back of the dryer off and the "tubing" but don't see it. I think it was too heavy to make its way all the way out. WHAT CAN I DO? I AM SERIOUSLY PANICKED. Am I just screwed?

Thank you in advance.

Was wondering how to remove sweat stains from white T-Shirts. They are a 50/50 Polyester/Cotton mix, as they don't seem to shrink much is why I choose to wear them. Does that make it harder for the sweat stains to come out?

I've tried bleach, a whole gallon of vinegar in a wash of whites, & some generic non-bleach whitener powder.

Any ideas? I'd hate to buy new ones as I'm a cheap. HEHE

I have bought a set of expensive bath towels. They look beautiful (big and fluffy) but when I use them after a shower they have no absorbency. They feel like i am toweling with a silk or satin sheet. I have washed them several times with fabric softener, but little improvement.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I was told to sand the wood and sweep up. Then to add Kilz2 latex primer as a wood undercoater to seal and prime woodwork. My floor is uneven so I was told to add after the Kilz, Henry 547 Unipro a universal patch and skimcoating. For the surfaces prior to the installing of the self-adhesive tile. I would like to know if these are the correct ways of preparing my floor.

I was cooking pork-chops in my kitchen when the oil bubbled and splattered on my grey cotton-strchy zip-up jacket, and my jeans. I have not washed them yet, i didnt want to set a stain. however, i forgot about them in the back of my closet for a month or so, which i dont know, but im guessing it makes it much harder to get out?!?! Does anyone have any suggestions before I attempt this, or is it stained for life? :(

It's a stackable Maytage washer/dryer combo. I can't get it to spin water out of even a small load. I've notice the lock light doesn't come on now either. It can be opened at anytime in the cleaning cycle.

This morning (it's been between 85-95 degrees the last few days, we put to AC on yesterday morning to approx. 75 degrees) I heard a loud POP by my patio door - we have a sliding glass door. Then I heard what sounded like heavy rain against the windows surrounding the sliding glass door (it seems like it's part of the structure of the door rather than a separate window). I looked, and to my horror, it was crackling and cracking into millions of tiny cracks. This lasted about ten minutes. The glass did not fall out, but it's all shattered (like the storefront of a chi-chi boutique) I cannot feel any cracks, which I assume means it's a double paned-window. There is no "place of impact" and there is nothing to indicate anything hit it - why did this happen and how do I fix it?? This is my first place - its about 3 years old. It's part of a large condo complex.
