Unless the baseboard is a natural wood finish, they normally match closely with the wall color. The crown molding may match the wall or the ceiling color. Nothing to say the baseboard and crown ahould match.

No, but it should be the same style. For example, you shouldn't have one that is plain straight simple and then one victorian with curliques.
