How much would you pay? I need some extra money and I love to garden and be outside...I would come while you are at work, dont need to be inside or anything...

Hourly? Flat rate for normal biweekly clean up? This would all be under the table and I might even do a listing on craigslist.

We don't usually take my dog outside very much, but today we took him on a long walk. We came home and a few hours later we found two ticks on him. One when I was on the couch and the second one when we bathed him. My mom swept every inch of our house and we gave my dog a really thorough bath. Do we need to go all out with the sprays for the house and flea dips because of two fleas or do we just wait and watch for any more signs?

I need to fix up untreated drywall walls in the house and prep them for painting. How do I go about filling in holes and cracks in the wall? Especially the external corners where it seems there are cracks along what I guess is the corner joint tape beneath? Do I have to sand it down or remover them completely and start over?

Thanks for your help!

my pond is now solely pumping around dirty water. i cannot find a local pond cleaning company, and regularly clean the pumps and the filters. short of emptying the whole pond out and cleaning it all completely, a relatively hassle free solution would be greatly appreciated.

I bought this mattress b/c it was very comfortable only to get it home and then realize none of my sheets fit b/c it is a much thincker mattress. I know I can buy deep pocket sheets but they are very expensive and i would have to buy them seperate from a comforter set which also makes me mad. Anyone out there know of a website that sells deep pocket sheet with comforter sets or do you knwo if any other options? I wasn't very well informed (my sales guy didn't do a very good job) when i bought the mattress, I wanted to take it back but it is illlegl to resell a mattress. I will never, by the way, buy a mattress form mattress discounters again !!!!!!!!!!

I am contemplating a new metal roof for my mobile home. It will be installed over an existing metal roof on which I have installed 1x2 furring strips screwed to the trusses 24" inches OC for attachment and ventilation. I have included 3/4" styrofoam for insulation and sound deadening. I have almost no roof jacks on the front side of the roof, but on the back side the jacks are clustered together in a small space. In a perfect world, I want all the jacks to wind up in a the valley or flat of the metal rather than on one of the ribs. Is there a method of trimming the metal to accomplish this?, or am I forced to use a lead jack if I wind up with a pipe through the rib? Sealing the side of the jack towards the peak is another question I have, Do I cut the metal and slide the edge of the jack under the metal and then seal with mastic or collect the water on the top edge and check it every year? Any experienced installers out there want to take a crack at this question? Thanks in advance

just for labor...He said parts will be about 35-50 dollars.

He is fixing one pipe on the outside side of my house that is leaking. I believe this leak is causing me to have low water-pressure inside of my house.

Is $250 about the normal for this?

Today is Sunday and its pouring rain over here...

We are removing the old light fitting in the bathroom and replacing it with a new one. The old light fitting has three places to connect the wires but the new fitting only has two places to connect the wires. The one which was connected to the third place is a black wire with a red sleeve. I have four red, four black and four earth wires there are four other rooms which are connected through the bathroom fitting but only one wire which makes the bathroom light work. I have tried every combination of wiring and cant get it to work it switches on and the light comes on but when i switch it off it trips. Can anyone help please - any sparkies out there tonight???

Thinking about buying one for all the health benefits I've been reading; although I've been told they are not worth it. Anyone have any recomendations? I really want a mattress that would support your joints, relaxes muscles, etc., something theraputic.

Thanks!

Indoor plants seeking new home! I know I should cover the hatbox in something to prevent the box from ever getting wet, but I would like to use around the house things as opposed to buying a pot and put it in the hat box.

What about draining? Is this possible?

Hi...
If I catch a female anopheles mosquitoe flying off of my arm, and bloated to 5 to 10 times its normal size, and we're both in a closed room. Can I expect to get bitten again by the same mosquitoe, and if so, how often.
How often do they feed in order to maintain their survival energy levels; and how long do they live ?
Thanks !

This has been happening for months. They are just tiny little holes that only show up on t-shirt. No signs of insects. No other type of clothing is effected. No rubbing of anything that should cause this.

I live in downtown Manhattan. My room faces an extremely busy street directly and there are many heavy trucks back and forth even after mid-night. Even worse, there is many pubs and clubs around. And directly beneath me is a pizza shop, which plays the hard rock&roll for the whole night and tends to increase the volume after mid-night. I don't think the new NYC noise code will help much. In sum, there is zero time that the place is quiet. I've bought foam ear plugs, but they don't help much, esp. for the rock&roll and disco type. I read the previous Q&As and thought I might have the following options: (1) military ear plugs; (2) musician ear plugs; (3) gun shooting ear plugs; (4) try more foam plugs from different manufactures. Is there a place in NYC that I can try all of the above options all at once. Specifically, which type of ear plugs is the most effective on rock&roll&disco type noise? Please give links so I can buy. I am directly sleeping on their high-vibrating sound systems.

have opened the cold water valve to fill the tank. I do not hear any running water ...like it is filling up. Also, I'm not getting any hot water or cold water out of my inside faucet in the bathroom closest to the new hot water tank. What might be going on? My water is turned on to the whole house. In fact I'm getting a strong cold water pressure in the kitchen....it's just my bathroom closest to the hot water tank that I'm not getting anything at all. Any help for a confused installer??

So I have used bleach, oxy-clean, and lime away...but it still looks old and grimy. I do not want to put a hole in the stupid thing, but I want it to look like new. Any patches or "paint" that would bring back the clean look?
