Call others in your neighborhood who do this and ask for a quote from them. This will give you a ballpark figure.
Flat rate is best, people know what to expect. Look for homes in your area with older residents. They might like the yard done, but don't have the energy.
If it is legal in your area, have some fliers printed up and put them on the doors of homes that look like they need attention. Put some fliers up at the grocery store, convenience store, library & church bulletin board.
Contact property managers of rental homes and ask if they have this service.
Good luck!

it would depend on the job, offer an estimate. look at the job determine how many hours it should take, then let them know the fee (roughly $5-7 for an hour cash is a good amount) - but do not tell them it is hourly tell them, something like "i could clean all of your flower beds for $12, and if you would like i am available to come every other week" - you know that means it should take you about 2 1/2 hours....but this way if you finish in 45 minutes...you still get the same amount. also you could do something like "$15 to get it cleaned up today, then i can come back once a week or once every other week for $5-10 to keep it looking great if you like"

No, I would not pay to have my weeds picked, but if you're interested in making a business out of it you'd better throw in a whole yard cleaning. The majority of homeowners today use a lawn service, and that service consists of taking care of the entire lawn. You'll be hard-pressed to find a customer that just wants weeds picked and will pay you for it. I think you need to change your game plan.

Well it depends how bad the weeds are. Most people may not like the idea of a stranger doing it simply because they might accidentally pull something that isn't a weed. I guess if I liked you I'd give you $10 and some lemonade while you worked.

I would pay $7.25/hr. If it took 1/2 hour plus 1/2 hour travel time then maybe $15 per month for two weedings per month. If you get 100 houses for three months during the summer that is $4500 plus tips so probably $6000. Lots of people will tell you to charge more and that is why you won't be successful.

A flat rate...depends on how much needed to be pulled. I don't have too many weeds, so I would pay about $25 a week, for once a week service.

My neighborhood gardener charges $30 to pull the weeds and mow the lawn. For just weed pulling, maybe $20.

No. I also love doing all my own landscaping, gardening, weeding, etc. Call one of the landscapers listed in the yellow pages and get an idea of what they charge.

I too like working outside so for myself, no I wouldn't pay to have it done. But I'm sure some folks would.
