I'm going to buy my boyfriend sheets and he wants silk, but I don't have the money for them. I searched online and when I looked for Silk, it brought up Satin... Satin is cheaper than Silk, I just need to know if it will feel the same.

Satin is thicker than silk. It has a smoother softer texture and a nice sheen to it. All colours stand out better in Satin giving it a rich royal look. Satin will last longer. satin also has a lovely sheen to it.
It will not rustle like silk. Silk needs more care. Silk sheets are not very practical, they crease very easily. I'm talking of pure silk.

It is also thicker. Satin can be made from silk fibers or manmade fibers such as rayon. If cotton is used then the fabric is called sateen.
