Is it ok to wait lets say two days between priming a wall and painting? I thought i would have a project i started last nite finished today but it looks like we wont finish priming until tonight. We will start painting tomorrow. I read primer cures and then you cant paint on top of it b/c it becomes like glass? Is that true and how long does it usually take? The Kilz website said 14 days but im just making sure. The walls are a navy blue and we are using Kilz Primer to prime and then will paint with Behr Pecan Glaze.

An elderly friend of mine is moving into a nursing home and wants to sell his entire house full of furniture, hopefully all at once. I know there are companies that will do consignments and some estate sales companies will handle sales of basically everything. I only have a phone message, so far, to work from and it only asked about furniture. He lives in Queens, NY. Anybody knowledgeable got some tips for me to pass on to him?

My house is forty years old, and the floor in the bathroom is wood with vinyl over it. The wooden floor has begun to stay damp and feel sort of "spongy".

The people who built them are gone, city dont have records, and no one in the area has an idea. The search area is 1 mile by 3/4 of a mile. I have already thought about a metal detector but want a faster way. This for a community garden well so the 6-7000 dollars need not be spent.

Ugh!!! Ok, after this I am SO suing Home Depot for providing false color samples :( K, so I tried 2 get the right colors 4 my room, and I did, according 2 the color samples. Now that the colors are on my wall, it looks like my room belongs 2 a 3yr old! I mean, It looks like one of those cheesy sets from 'Barney and Friends'. Seriously!! I got these AWESOME color samples and what they called 'the right colors' and put them on the walls, and now the orange looks like a bright yellow, and the light orange looks like a neon color or something! Its awful! The only living organism able to look at that room and not burst out laughing is Big Bird! It's ridiculous!

WHAAAAA I TRIED 2 MAKE MY ROOM LOOK GOOD FOR ONCE AND IT TURNED OUT ONLY BEING COOL FOR STUPID BIG BIRD!!

WHAAAAAA

MY RENTS ACTUALLY THINK THE COLORS ARE GOOD

WHY DIDN"T I JUST LEAVE IT WHITE?!?

WHAT DO I DO NOW??

Idea is to build a greenhouse rather than a conventional roof. What about heating/cooling of house? Efficiency? Engineering challenges? Would glass be too heavy? Would it stand up to weather such as hail? Has this been done? I read glass on greenhouses can last 30+ years so would it last as long as a conventinal roof? Would it cost more than a conventional roof or How about compared to a house with a conventional roof and an additional greenhouse structure? Appreciate your thoughts.

I have a blue shirt that has pink splotches and a tan shirt with light splotches, to name a couple.
1. Why would this happen if I did not use bleach, and I did wash only similar colors in one load?
2. How can I prevent this from happening again?
BTW I'm using Tide. Thanks for your help.

Somewhere (maybe a housekeeping magazine) I read a tip that the sun outside deodorizes fabrics. It encouraged people to put pillows, cushions, etc. outside in the sun to air them out but also kill germs/deodorize. I am curious how much truth there is to this. I am also spraying everything with Febreze anti-allergen. It's for stuff you can't necessarily wash.

I'm renovating the house I've just got as a family home. I have taken the wallpaper of the walls and the plaster has crumbled away in some areas, but stayed firm in others. Should I take off all the plaster and start again, or will I be able to work around the firm plaster and patch the areas affected. On some walls over 50% of the plaster is in need of replacing.
Many thanks, Regards, Richard.

Every couple of days in this hot weather! I have checked the chlorine levels and raised them back up by adding extra shock, chlorine sticks, and my Ph had to be lowered, so I did that- It was blue for a couple of days, then WHAM! Green swamp looking cement pond. What am I doing wrong?

I have tried the clarifier, and Algecide... Yes I test regularly, but have not taken my water to the pool store in a few weeks- It is time- I know.

ALSO: Has the green algae been known to make people sick- stomach trouble, etc...? We think it may have late last week when it was still slightly murky and our little girl went swimming...(haha- we told her not to DRINK it...)

Water levels were really high, and I drained some off last week, but was hesitant to because we are in a severe drought (Georgia). Should we add fresh?

Thanks for any ideas!!!

I had ordered it from a nursery in another state and it was damaged during the packaging process. Apparently, they bent the tip to make the tree fit the box and thus broke it. I wonder whether I should still plant it under the circumstances. Will it recuperate? Will it grow normally?
