Our jacuzzi tub has a hot and cold tap. Cold tap works great, but cannot get any water, hot or cold, to come out when the hot tap is turned on. I took off the knob and the plastic dial underneath with the grooves turns without a problem. I get a tiny trickle at best. I dont have access (as far as I know) to any of the pipes via the jacuzzi inside.

Any help is appreciated.

And the water isn't clear either. Looks blurry and white. The PH level is fine and so is chlorine leverl. Have no idea what else it could be.

Apart from erecting a rabbit-proof fence which is too costly and too time consuming, does anyone know of an effective deterrent against rabbits? My vegetables (and my flowers) are being decimated!

water is coming out of the overflow spout whenever the dishwasher drains. There is also water coming out in the drain, where it's supposed to. How do I stop it from coming out the overflow?

Went to LTS Homes in NY, and although from the outside it's inviting apart from the cement slab the walls inside I noticed either had cracks in it, or tissue thin. I noticed stains around the windows on the ceiling, so I don't think the roof handles well with rain and such. These homes go for over $70,000 , so how do they get away with making them so cheaply and sell them for a lot, when it isn't a real home?

Ok, so the bathroom is sooo tiny! But there is a pretty clawfoot tub that I want to use as the focal point. Well under the tub, there is this extra nasty carpet that I will be removing directly once I know exactly what to do about the floor under it. I was thinking maybe buying some cheap plates and breaking them to make a fun mosiac/tile flooring project. I also have a few of the smaller white kitchen tiles I might use instead. The problem is I don't really know how to go about tiling the floor at all. Does anyone know this process they can answer here or email me.... THANX!

My husband and I moved to a new flat before our baby was born, however the location is near forest, it is very dump and recently we noticed mold growing in our bedroom, even in our wardrobe. I have got headaches from the smell, allergy like symptoms, there is mould behind our bed, even in the wardrobe and our shoes, suitcases and even baby's pram is covered with a green mould. Can it be harmful?

I have large windows in my stairwell that go from bottom of house to top. Consists of 3 slider windows 58X58 placed one on top of the other. They face my neighbors 3 windows. I need to replace. I want to do something different than what is already there. Was thinking about a picture window for the top (kind of silly to have a window that can open when nobody can reach it), a double or triple slider for the middle and a picture on bottom (could reach to open but would need step stool, plus it is ground level so security is issue). Any other ideas? Also, I was thinking about "rain glass" instead of clear since it will cost a ton to have custom verticals made. My concern with this is 2 fold.... even though glass isn't clear neighbors could still see shadows and 2, isn't the point of a picture window to see through it? Any ideas or suggestions? I've looked at a ton of pictures and like so much. I've even considered glass block but its too expensive. I'm in remodel hell!

I understand there is a product call D-Solv on the market which helps solve algae problems in backyard ponds. It's hard to find and I think can only be shipped by mail. Before going that route, has anyone tried it? Did it work very well or about the same as other products on the market?

I have just got rid of a mould problem in my bathroom but am left with pink staining on the grouting between tiles. How do I remove this? Mould and mildew sprays haven't touched it. Also, there's mould along the bottom of the shower curtain. It gets washed regularly so I know there's no spores on it but I hate the staining, does anyone know how I can remove it? I have bought a new one but I love the colour on this one and would love to be able to save it and not have to throw it away unless I have to.
Thanks in advance x

I have knocked the plasterboard of my fireplace to re-open it, to put a hole in the wall fire in. However there are two pipes in the wall of the old fire. One which comes ends in the fire and the other pipes which comes in and out backinto the wall.

What could these be, and would i need someone to test the pipes to see if they are no longer in use.

Thanks

The last two lawn/garage sales I had, I only made a dollar each time and it wasn't even household stuff - it was some plants I brought home from work to sell. I have lots of beatitful antiques, china, glassware and other collectibles that I'm trying to liquidate from my mother's house. I'm right on the main road and there's tons of traffic going by, but nobody is stopping and those that are expect you to GIVE them the stuff. I even called local antique dealers and auctions, but nobody is interested in my stuff. I even advertised and only a few people showed up but I guess they didn't want anything. I'd like to get the house cleaned out so I can sell it, but it looks like I'm going to have it for a LONG time at this rate. Any ideas why there's such a slump in the antiques market? What can I do to expedite my sales?

My boyfriend lives way back in the country and has a beautiful yard with a swing that I can lay and read in.

Problem is most of the time there are racoons and squirls, and rabbits and possums that run around his yard. I think there is even a gofer but I have only seen evidence of him..

How do I keep them out of yard so I can sit in it and some what enjoy the day or afternoon. ??
