My beach house (on a rocky shore) has a greenhouse, and I was wondering what I can grow in that kind of climate (both flowers and food). Can you help me? If you have any helpful links that would be great, too. Thanks!

I moved into my house and did not get a key for the crawl space door. It is approximately 18"x24" metal door with a simple metal bar that turns away from frame to drop open.
I am trying not to call a locksmith, but need in crawl space for repair. Thanks!!

By the time my tomatoes are ripe and I go to pick them they are rotten on the bottom. No water is getting on them or nothing. Can someone please tell me what might cause this. I know too much water makes them split, but I don't know what is causing this.

So I was nailing pictures to the wall in my room, and I accidentally dented the wall. We live in an apartment, so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas that I could fix up the wall quickly, i.e. filling the dent with some kind of paste and painting over it. Is this even possible? Thanks!

It began dripping near the heating vents and a few lights in the ceiling. I turned off the power and unfastened the vent and lights to allow the water to somehow drain. It's now the morning after, what else should I do?

The system had automatically watered my grass 3 am, then at 10 am I tried to manually start it so I could mark where the sprinkler heads were so I could aerate my lawn, but it wouldn't start. Now, 2 days later, the system still wont start (both manually and at the scheduled times).

Do you guys have any ideas?

I found these instructions on how to grow tomatoes upside down. http://webpages.charter.net/tomato/...
I was wondering if it could work with other viney vegetable plants like peppers, eggplants, beans, melons, squash etc.? Also instead of growing them through a hole in the bottom, what about a hole on the side? Using the same instructions.

We had someone come in a plant seed and put in straw about 3 weeks ago. There are still quite a few bare spots..Although the parts that have grown in, have come in pretty thick. I can't get ahold of the guy that planted the seed now to find out what we should do next.
Oh yeah, I live in Ohio and have been watering the grass about every other day.

I planted an avocado pit from the grocery store--the plant is now about five feet tall and about four years old. It has shown buds along the stem, but these have not developed at all. It lives in a Midwest climate, outside in the summer and inside in the winter. It continues to grow vertically while the flower buds remain dormant. What can I do to trigger growth in the buds?

My mother has two plants in her garden and she isn't sure if they are weeds (where she would be getting rid of them) or actual plants. We are just curious to know what these are:
