I have been told by many that my work is very beautiful and that I should go into business for myself. I love to design yards and I feel I am very good at it. I have never had my own business before so I really don't even know where to start. Do I need a licence for this? When and If I did start do I pay for all the lawn design and then charge them for it afterwards? How much does ones usually charge for something like this? I know it cost me a pretty penny to do my own yard.LOL Plus all the time I had into it. I built my own ponds, bridges, flower pots, Large and small driftwood decor, painted what ever needed to be painted, had several decor water pumps running, Large stumps of wood for some of the water decor pumps to sit on. I halled in lava rocks, river rocks, large bolder rocks for design, many flower plants, wind chimes, tie kie torches, indoor outdoor rope lights that swirled through the ground plants, ground ornaments, ground lights, green viens through the back fencing, ect

I am putting new doors on solid oak frame kitchen cabinets. The new doors are unfinished solid oak.The frames and sides are about 10 years old, and have been stained once. The current color is a miniwax provincial.I am sanding the frame and preparing it for the new doors. The miniwax cherry stain I have tried so far doesn't give me the color and depth I am looking for. What is the best brand of stain to give a rich furniture grade color and smoothness on the cabinets and where can I buy it?Cost really doesn't matter.I just want a great rich looking finish in a medium cherry tone when finished.

What is the best thing to do with a plant garden that has heavy clay soil?

My husband brought compost home one year but it just seemed to kill off most of the plants...so don't want that...I did add a few bags of topsol this spring and planted all new plants with bagged topsoil...but still my plants don't seem to grow as fast as my mom's whose soil is a lot more sandy in her parts. Her plants are double mine.

What would work best to make my plants thrive? All my rhodedendrums that I plant on one side of the garden all die off too...really weird..it gets a good half day of sun so I don't get it...would a rainspout nearby that side of the house have some bearing on that?

Oh and I've added the Miracle Grow stuff as directed all Spring too...so I don't know.

I am in Central NC, the temperature here is crazy. It was in the 60's last week and this week it is getting up to 97 degrees. I am looking to put the plants in an area (in front and against the house) that most people put shrubs/bushes. It is in direct sunlight until late in the evening.

The floor of the terrace in my apartment has cracked like a big root of a large tree. Similarly i found the wall raised there also getting displaced slightly. What might be the reason for this?
Any Experienced Civil Engineer or architects pl help me understand this. Is it because of faulty construction or bad design of the building?

I'm sure I will get lots of clever answers on this, but this is a REAL question. We have 4 toilets in our house. All are cleaned frequently with the same cleaning products. All have new seats installed. One of them stinks very strongly of pee. It's disgusting! It doesn't matter how much I clean it. It still stinks. No one is peeing on the floor by the way, in case that's your answer. I have also scrubbed the floor and the toilet rugs and still....it stinks. I hate to call a plumber and tell them my toilet stinks, but I don't know what to do. Could it be a bad seal? Anyone have any idea what could be causing this.

I remember as a kid in the early 1980's having a really bad winter. The snow brought powerlines down, we had no eletricity for a few days.We had to boil water on an open coal fire to wash or make drinks, toast bread etc.We had candles for light. The only sound was a battery radio and the chatter of the family. It was quite cosy really. Can you recall having a powercut that went on for a few days? What did you do to pass the time, or how did you prepare family meals?

Atmos Energy only allows 7 contractors to move a gas meter in Dallas and the minimum is $800 regardless. This is price fixing! Then you have to pay a plumber to move your side of the line additional. Has anyone had any luck doing this at a fair price? The meter is in the middle of yard and only looking to move it 2 feet behind the fence in dirt.

I have a Lazy Boy rocker that is under a year old. I rock fairly frequently in it, and it has begun to squeak. I can' tell if it's the spring or the wood making the squeak. Any tips?

I need something to block out the sun. I already have blinds up but it lets the heat right in. I wanted to know if there was anything out there that could keep my house cooler in the summer by blocking out or reflecting the sun out. Maybe something I could put in between the window and the screen.
