I was reading about these fans. The quite ones that exhange the air in your home every 4 to 5 minutes. On a hot day like in the 90s and 100s how will it feel in your house. I imagne the most it could do is 70 right???

First off if you are talking about the big fans that are on the ceiling blowing into the attic, then no.

The reason for this is because, when you have the fan on, you need to have windows open so that it pulls in the air from the outside.
You will only bring in hot air and any humidity out there indoors.

Had one for many years.

While it won't actually cool your house it will circulate the air and make it feel cooler thus reducing your cooling costs substantially. If you have a small home or only use a few rooms during the summer you could close off the rooms you won't be using then place the fan in front of a window unit, which are inexpensive air conditioners, and increase the range of the unit and the comfort in your home.

NO you are so wrong. its not an air conditioner, its a FAN. it won't cool the air, it will just MOVE the air.

I doubt it would even cool it that much if it was that hot...
I'm taking a guess here, and saying maybe 10 degrees, and I think that's pushing it......
