I have a nice bedroom set in great condition but I hate the color of it... (oak)
I want to paint it a dark chocolate brown color. What kind of paint would I use to do this? Interior paint?
And how would I prep the furniture beforehand?

I installed a new programmable thermostat last December and it was working fine. Turned heat on and off during winter. I switched to cooling once it started getting hot and it also worked. I turned the thermostat to off when the weather was nice but now when I try to turn it to cool it does not turn on the air conditioner. I tried to turn the heat on and turning the fan to on instead of auto and it did not work. How can I check if this is a problem with the thermostat? Or is there something else I should try? Thanks for your help. The thermostat is a Hunter Model 44360.

someone else cleaned it and left chemical on it. It was left with an orange stain that doesn't wipe off. IT could be CRL, Lime Away, or some other cleanser. I have no idea what chemical was used.

I grew some daisies from seed this year. As they are perennials, they won't bloom this year. How can I over-winter them in a pot so they will come up next year and bloom? Will they die down on their own? What about watering them over winter? I'd like to sit them out in front of the house next spring, in bloom.

I have a tree that gives out berries that look a lot like black berries. The birds eat them and do not die, do you think I could eat them too? Also, we are in zone three. What do you think this tree is?

This is not a typical painting company where the customer picks the colors and the painter paints them. This is an interior decorating and design company who paints, remodels and decorates on a budget. We paint, change door knobs, light fixtures, stain discolored grout, stage various decorative items, landscaping etc. Basically any type of cosmetic upgrade you can think of to increase curb appeal and 'update' houses inside and out.

Most of our business has been from realtors with houses in need of a fresh look.

Thanks,
Luciane

As I was baking today I noticed something unusual about my electric oven. I noticed a small one-inch glow after I was done. I didn't think much of it until it kept moving and then eventually sparking. I immediately unplugged it and noticed that the heating element cracked. Can this be replaced? And is it easy enough for me? I am selling my house and I don't want to have to buy another stove.

My central AC unit has frozen over. I had let the air filter get completely dirty to the point where little to no air had gotten through. (I know, I know, I should have known better). I couldn't feel ANY air blowing through the vents after I switched the filter so it must be pretty bad. My question is: how long to leave it off with the fan blowing to get all the ice inside to melt?

We have almost been in our brand new house for a year and we just noticed the grass around the air conditioning unit is all wet. It looks like the water is coming out of the condensation line but it seems like an awful lot of water. It also seems to be leaking where the hoses are hooked up to the house. Is this normal? What could be the cause of this? It is really hot where we live so the air conditioning runs pretty much all the time. Thank you in advance for your answers.

I have my heart set on this door that has a glass panes from top to bottom. They are panes set in the door so you can look outside even if you are sitting in a chair. It has a brass handle and looks nice. Its made by I think master brand.
My house is really un level and very old. I want to know how hard it is to install a new door in a very old house that is not level?
How do I get a reputable contractor to put it in?

Okay, well im redecorating my bedroom. I have an Idea of what i'd like to do. But one of my main focuses are the tops of my dresser, armoire, and night tables. (things to put on them) I'd like a classic, clean cut, girlie looks, with a lot of white, and silver things. Some things i have thought about putting on my dressers and things are: white candles, clear glass vase with white flowers, shiny silver trays to display perfume, and prehaps a neck manniquin display to put pearls on. Im wondering where to buy stuff to get my idea to come to life, here are some pics (elements) of what i want the tops of my dresser, and armoire, and night tables to look like.

i want flowers like this, don't know what they are called, and i love white tulips
