I am moving and am redecorating my NEW room. I don't know what color to paint it. am a TOTAL girlie girl and love to sing, dance, act, run, play flag football and ski on land and in water. I also need advice on what/ how to decorate it.

Ok how old are you and if your a girlie girl does that mean pink Not all the time!! Now do you really want pink? Ask yourself "What colors really make you like say AWWWW" or make you smile when you see them. There are three colors everyone must know Basic color, trim color and accent color.
Having to paint it just one color become very blan after a while. So try going to HGTV and check out the Shows Like "Got Color" or http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/shows_hdmix/

The dark red ish sounds pretty chill already. You can paint it green, that's supposed to relax you. Not a bright celery green, but maybe a forest green unless that's too dark for you.

I would go with a light green, maybe sage, then you could put flowers on the bed or sports trophies on a shelf without it looking to confused. I love to decorate with different shaped mirrors, hang them on the wall use a big one as your headbored to your bed, put them under candles. They are great!

How about a very pale strawberry pink with a mint green trim? I did this ih high school and it looked great. You could have a Caribbean theme.

You could paint in stripes (pink, orange, white and yellow). Just block off the stripes with painter's tape and a ruler!!!

well if your a girly girl but you also plat sports..lol baby blue! its guyish and not too girly..it says alot with just that color..as for designs..you can put pics and posters of your rolemodels...but no too much you are a young lady after all ^_^

purple and blue
pink would go well with ballet shoes if your into that kind of dance... so like ballet type deco. just accent it with random thingsd from the random stuff you do! it always looks original and cute. =]
