I am landscaping around my brand new deck and adding new flower beds on 3 sides of my house. Also putting in granite counter tops in the kitchen, ripping up the carpet in the living room and putting in wood floor, putting built-in cabinets in the living room and installing a system of cubbies/storage cabinets in the mudroom. Not sure it adds any tangible value, but am moving my laundry room upstairs (where the bedrooms are) for easier usage and I built a loft in my garage too.
Next steps: finishing the basement (winter?) and putting in crown molding throughout the ground floor (fall/winter?).

This summer is totally devoted to landscaping. Now that my dogs have a large yard all their own, I get mine. I've been gardening like a madwoman on a mission of lush colors and an incredible amount of roses. I already had 8, now I have 10, and I'm expecting 4 more soon.
I'm also building a covered patio and a box turtle habitat for my 7 year old.

I live in rent apt downtown close to uni and like it but for few weeks now i'm considering to add a removable security 'smoked' glass door - something with pin access - just after the small entree corridor. it is fancy but price is above affordable. could be a good investment though, it is relatively easy to move it to my next apt. We'll see.
