It has 1/8in. of polyurethane on it. What exactly do I used to strip that off? What brand of whatever the product is do you recommend?

I meant to use the word use not used. I am sure all of you figured that out...still.

I have a woodworking shop in my basement and I use "Zip" strip for everything. Wear rubber gloves and wash off any you get on your skin. Leave it on for awhile and make sure it stays damp. I scrape it off gently and then use a damp cloth, take your time. Then go over the area with a light sandpaper, if it needs it again or, in certain areas, do it.
Sand the entire piece, I use a palm sander, these have saved my hands (with arthritis) and time.
Don't rush anything.
