Hi, I have just purchased a small cottage. Currently it has a bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs. With the space I can have 2 double bedrooms upstairs, 1 single and a bathroom or 2 large bedrooms and leave the bathroom downstairs. Which would be best?
Also the stairs are very steep, would you suggest leaving them or putting in a spiral staircase?

I spent a nigt of little sleep last night being plagued by mosquitos. As I live near a pond I really get a lot of them in the house. Of course I could spray or use one of these plug in devices but as they are in effect toxic I'm not too happy using this kind of stuff. I want to know if anybody can give me some good advice about some plants or other home remedies that tend to repell mosquitos from a room. Most helpful answer wins 10 points.

We have used different tablets and it just does the wash with the tablets still intact (not dissolved) even with the tablet door opened after the wash cycle is complete. Most of the dishes come out clean thought. Does anyone know what is wrong with my dishwasher? I have just bought the house and the integrated kitchen is new, not sure if the gurantee (if there is any) will be transferable.

Hey guys,
I constantly have to use chemicals to cover the smell in my toilet. I don't like to use these as i have two kids under five and i don't like them inhaling the spray. So if any one could offer a cheap, do it yourself homemade refresher for the toliet, would be great. Also i have lime trees which hold to many limes to eat , so if any knows if they can be a refresher let me know that would be fantastic!

I know Home Depot will cut lumber for free or a small charge. But if a 4x4 is 12 feet long and you only want 5 feet of it, how do they charge for the 5 feet? Do you have to pay for the entire 12 feet or just for the 5 feet?

I bought some blue star creeper plants from home depot to put in front of my home in the flower bed.I planted it about a mounth ago and now all but two are starting to look brown.I have been watering them daily so it cant be lack of water.Is there anything I go do to fix the problem before the plant dies?

I recently bought a house and so far I lived in apartment and no idea about the grass and trees. Current backyard has grass on the center and desert like small stones on the sides and few trees here and there. Now the grasses are grown on some sides but it is totally empty on the center and other sides. Now I want to know what should I need to do to get the grass growing in the center and what are all the must need equipments for my backyard and what type of fertilizers or maintenance I need to do for the grass and trees. I'm moving into a townhouse soon that I have access to since it is vacant. I sniffed out the refrigerator and it has a strange smell present in the main part and in the freezer. I DON'T like it and I don't want to put food in it smelling the way it does. It's been cleaned, but something's still lingering (not rotten food, but some strange spice or something). I have always kept Baking Soda in mine, but I don't think that will do the job, since it was cleaned and all. Is there something more potent to take care of that weird smell? Help! Thanks!
