I have a dog that was staying inside for awhile and while in the house they urinated on the floor I have pulled up the carpet and the padding under it but the smell is also in the wood subflooring under the carpet. I need to know something i can use to get the smell out before putting down new flooring?

Replacing the sub flooring may be the only option...but it wouldn't hurt to sprinkle a layer of baking soda on the subflooring to absorb some of the odors. Sweep that off before scrubbing it with bleach water...letting it thoroughly dry out. (open windows, etc.) If that works... do it once more before laying a new flooring.

I once heard long ago that mouthwash, like Listerine is best to pour on a floor/sub floor, let set a little while, then mop it up & don't rinse. Let it dry throughly. If the smell still lingers, you may have to replace the sub flooring, as the smell will be worse on warm/hot days. I hope the mouthwash works.

Soak the wood with Nature's Miracle and let it dry thouroughly. It has a money back guarantee.

There really isn't much you can do to take the urine out of wood. You probably should replace them. If not you could try mopping with white vinegar and let set..

Use an enzyme cleaning product. I like Odorcide. It is specially made for pet stains and odors.
