My back porch gets direct morning sunlight. Anything I've put out there has burned up. Now I want to try the Cosmos flower. Are their any suggestions for plants that will take direct sunlight?

I am building my online shabby chic home decor business, and am looking for tips to add a little charm to my packages. I have a super cute invoice (not too flashy) and always wrap the items in pink tissue paper before sending them. I am looking for other tips to help make packages more memorable. Any ideas?

Took apart the blade assembly and all seems in order. Also ran with the door open using a screw driver to trick the safety--the machine is getting water. The blade will not shoot water at the dishes but the motor makes noises like its running. Is this something the lay homeowner can fix?

My question is: will I have to sand it down? There are several small ridges about 1/4 inch high. What will happen if I just lay the tile over it?

I don't know what's wrong with it. It'll flush but it won't fill up.

I am trying to get a nice indoor windowsill garden going, but have a very tight budget. So I've been saving used gallon milk jugs and Era clothes detergent containers to fashion into my 'pots'.

The problem is, these containers are very ugly. I've tried painting them with some basic craft paint I have, but it rubs right off after it dries and makes a big mess.

Any ideas on how I can decorate these plastic containers to look less cheap, classy not gaudy, and easy to do at home?

It works fine until you put the deck down and suddenly it turns off. I've looked and looked for the fuse or whatever the cause is and have asked for help at our local riding mower fix it people. They are out of ideas and want me to bring it in. This is my last hope to fix it myself.

My little girl uses the room that I also want to set up as a room for guests (then she can bunk in with her teen sister if we have guests over). I was planning to buy a nice sofa bed for her room to have in there which could be opened up for guests. Then the sofa could be incorporated as part of her room (you know - a comfy place to sit and read stories). What color sofa bed should I buy? How can I decorate her room? The carpet is pale caramel and the walls cream. It is a blank canvas. She is only 1 year old but I want it to be girly/pretty - but also suitable for guests to stay in (you know - not completely covered in Disney Princesses or anything)

I'm disappointed with most of the composite samples I've seen--Trex, etc.--because they stain terribly when you drop something greasy on them. I've found one brand that is all plastic and doesn't stain, but I don't like the colors (Procell). Does anyone have a composite deck that can stand up to having a grill and an eating area with two preschoolers on it??

I have a space outside my window where a bush died. I want a perennial flowering bush that flowers late in the year, summer or fall, New England climate, semi shade. I will plant it myself, about 4 feet circumference for branches would be desired, up to two to three feet depth of initial root planting. Ideas?

I tried everything to clean them and to regain their shine. Then I had the bright idea to wax them. They looked great at first but now have turned dull. The guy at Lowe's told me not to use stripper on them so now I am lost. Please tell me you have the answer. Thank-you
